Supernet NL
Supernet and the Supernet project EN delivers the first HV cable system in Europe on that actually in the transmission system is integrated. This HTS also qualifies for sustainable transport as an alternative to the current high-voltage line and XLPE cable. This also supplies a demonstration on for industry (e-engineering and shipbuilding), system integrators and education. This project contributes to:
• the sustainability of the large-scale transport of electrical energy as wind power improved, and reduction of electrical losses in the net and from magnetic fields
• demonstrating a energy innovation to meet the social desire of cabling meet at scarce underground space in Projects
• new products and services in the electrical and maritime industry
• encourage jobs and turnover in the energy sector, services and shipping industry. Also export also is expected to be promoted.
• also this project will actively contribute to the shaping of the Human Capital Agenda from the energy agreement.
IWO Project bv participates in this innovative project with the following contribution:
• analysis of the structure of the cable system and the cryogenic Setup
• development of models to analyze the reliability
• technical/scientific analysis of measurement techniques for management and maintenance goal is the reliability
• Goal is the reliability and availability of superconducting cable systems to get at least on the same level as that of
XLPE cables in the Dutch transmission grid, but with improved performance.
